Margaret Rose Williams

March 14, 1943August 10, 2026

Savannah, Georgia · Savannah, Georgia

Margaret Rose Williams was born on March 14, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia, the third of five children born to Robert and Edna Mae Holloway. She grew up in a home filled with hymns, Sunday dinners, and the kind of love that never needed to announce itself. Margaret gave her life to Christ at the age of twelve at First Baptist Church of Savannah, a commitment she honored every day for the rest of her life. She married Harold Eugene Williams on June 4, 1965, and together they built a home defined by faith, laughter, and open doors. Margaret raised four children while working as a school librarian for thirty-one years, instilling in every child she met a love of reading and a sense of their own worth. She was known for her peach cobbler, her handwritten birthday cards, and her ability to make anyone who walked through her door feel like the most important person in the room. In her later years, Margaret led the women's prayer circle at Calvary Baptist Church, volunteered at the local food pantry every Tuesday, and spent her happiest hours in her garden or reading to her grandchildren. She faced her final illness with the same quiet courage that marked her entire life, surrounded by family and at peace with her Lord. Margaret Rose Williams entered eternal rest on August 10, 2026. She was 83 years old.
